Ask your AI assistant what consumers love, wish for and dislike about a product. bananabread reads reviews and posts from Amazon, Reddit, TikTok, YouTube and more, groups them into attributes, and backs each one with verbatim quotes and links.

What it does

The bananabread connector is a remote MCP server. It works in Claude (web, desktop, mobile and Claude Code) and in any other app that supports MCP with OAuth sign-in, such as Codex. You sign in with your own bananabread account; the connector uses the same account, products and credit as the Product API and the keys page.

Claude (web, desktop and mobile)

Open Settings → Connectors, click Add and choose Custom connector. Name it bananabread and paste the address above.
Click Connect. A bananabread sign-in page opens. Enter your email and click Email me a sign-in link.
Open the link from the email, on any device, your phone included. Check that the code it shows matches the one in your sign-in tab, then click Allow.
The sign-in tab returns to Claude by itself. In a chat, make sure the connector is switched on under + → Connectors.

Claude Code

Then run /mcp, pick bananabread and choose Authenticate. Connectors added on claude.ai are also available in Claude Code when you sign in with the same Claude account.

ChatGPT

Turn on Developer Mode: in Settings, open Apps (or Connectors) → Advanced; in newer versions it is under Settings → Security and login. It is available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans in the web app; on Business and Enterprise a workspace admin may need to allow it.
Add a new app or connector (Create, or Add custom MCP server), name it bananabread, paste the address above and choose OAuth as the authentication.
Sign in with the email link as described for Claude, then click Allow.
In a chat, choose bananabread from the + menu; Developer Mode apps are picked per conversation.

Other MCP apps

Add https://mcp.bananabread.ai as a remote (Streamable HTTP) MCP server. The app discovers the OAuth sign-in by itself.

Credit and pricing

A new account starts with $1 of credit, enough for one product.
Submitting a product costs $0.99. Finding products, reading reports and checking your balance are free.
The $0.99 is given back when a submission is rejected, when it is identical to an earlier one, or when consumer sentiment can't be collected. A report that finds few or no reviews is not refunded.
Add credit on the keys page: sign in with the same email and pay by card, from $1. Credit never expires.

Troubleshooting

"Collection is still running"

A new report takes a few minutes after submission. This is not an error: ask again a little later.

"Not enough prepaid credit"

Add credit on the keys page with the same email, then ask again. Nothing was stored or charged.

The sign-in link says it is no longer valid, or opens the keys page and stays there

Each link works once. Start again from your AI app (click Connect) and use the newest email.

"Signed in with a different email"

Open the link with the same email address you entered on the sign-in page.

"The bananabread connection is no longer valid"

The connection's key was revoked. Disconnect and reconnect bananabread in your AI app.

Disconnect

Remove the connector in your AI app. To cut access immediately, revoke the key labelled MCP connection on the keys page.
